Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 28 July 2026.
1. Who you are contracting with
BinFresh · VAT registration no. 518336194
In these terms “we”, “us” and “our” mean the business named above; “you” means the person
placing the order. You can reach us through our contact form.
2. The services
We clean domestic and commercial wheelie bins at the address you give us, within our published
coverage area. We offer:
- Recurring plans — your bins are cleaned every four weeks or every eight weeks,
depending on the plan you choose, for as long as the plan continues. - One-off cleans — a single clean, with no ongoing commitment.
Whether we can serve your address depends on your postcode. Our postcode checker gives the
answer before you order, and it is the answer we rely on.
3. How a contract is formed
Your order is an offer to buy. A contract comes into existence when we send you an order
confirmation by email. If we cannot serve your address, or cannot supply for any other reason,
we will tell you and refund anything you have paid in full.
4. Prices and VAT
Prices are shown on the website and include VAT at the prevailing rate. The VAT element is
shown separately on your order confirmation, which is your VAT receipt. If VAT rates change, the
price you pay changes accordingly.
We may change the price of a recurring plan. If we do, we will give you at least 30 days’
notice by email before the new price applies, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
5. Payment
- Recurring plans are paid by Direct Debit, collected through GoCardless. You
will be given advance notice of each collection in line with the Direct Debit Guarantee. - One-off cleans are paid by debit or credit card at the time of ordering,
processed by Stripe.
We do not see or store your full card details or bank details. If a payment fails we may pause
your service until it is resolved.
6. What we need from you
So that we can clean your bin, on your scheduled day:
- the bin must be empty — we clean bins after they have been emptied by your council;
- the bin must be accessible from the front of the property, not behind a locked gate;
- the bin must not contain anything hazardous, or waste that is not ordinary household or
commercial refuse.
If we arrive and cannot clean the bin for one of these reasons, we will let you know. That
clean counts as supplied — we have travelled and attended — and we will clean it on your next
scheduled visit. We would rather tell you now than surprise you later.
7. Changes to your collection day
Council collection days move, particularly around bank holidays. If yours changes, tell us
through our contact form and we will adjust your schedule.
8. Cancelling
Your cancellation rights, including the 14-day cooling-off period the law gives you, are set
out in our Cancellation and Refunds Policy, which forms part of these terms.
9. If something goes wrong
If a clean is not up to standard, tell us within 7 days and we will re-clean the bin at no
charge. If we cannot put it right, we will refund that clean.
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking
this contract or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that
is not foreseeable, or for business losses.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by
our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your legal
rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by anything we say here.
10. Suspending or ending the service
We may suspend or end your plan if payment fails and is not resolved, if we can no longer
serve your area, or if our staff are subjected to abuse. If we end your plan for a reason that is
not your fault, we will refund any period you have paid for and not received.
11. Complaints
Please tell us first — see our Complaints Procedure. If we cannot resolve matters between us,
you may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution scheme or take the matter to court.
12. General
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when
you placed it. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to
apply. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you can bring proceedings in
the courts of England and Wales.
